Ann Lara

Ann has a true passion for the Osa Peninsula

and has been traveling to this area for 15

years! She doesn't just tell you where to go,

but she will personally take you there!!  She

has been able to  integrate her dream and

vision to create the perfect combination:

Therapeutic bodywork, active lifestyle, and

the wonders of the Osa Peninsula.

Ann has been practicing therapeutic bodywork

since 1998 and her passion for bodywork is

paired with a passion for an active lifestyle.

After being diagnosed with fibrous dysplasia, and undergoing complete hip reconstruction at age 25, she was more determined than ever to push forward and have an active life. Since then, she has participated in numerous half marathons, full marathon, and summited a 14er in Colorado, as well as the highest mountain in Costa Rica, Mt, Chirripo! She thrives on assisting others to achieve their goals and to stay active no matter what. She has had the privilege of helping countless numbers of marathoners, Ironman finishers, distance trail runners finishing 100 mile races in the mountains, cyclists, soccer players, etc.

Ann has created a holistic package for body, mind, and spirit with a crazy twist of adventure! It is a very intentional, specific, detail oriented trip that people have described as a "once in a lifetime experience" and "so amazing it is hard to describe." The area has been referred to as the Garden of Eden, heaven on earth.....paradise! Ann will take you on a journey of both body and spirit that you have never experienced before! Check out some of the EXPERIENCES from the last retreat.

Anna G

Meet Anna G - the newest member of the Wellness

Adventures Team! We are so excited to announce

that Anna will be joining us for our Women's

Wellness Retreat January 14th-22nd, 2017! Her

role as a Wellness Leader will include yoga,

meditation, Thai massage, and nutrition.

Join us for this once in a lifetime opportunity to do

yoga while listening to the waves crashing,

howler monkeys, and scarlet macaws/toucans

calling!

Anna was first introduced to yoga while attending

art school in Santa Fe NM in 2000.  She began her

yoga studies in 2004 and continues to enjoy

learning new aspects of yoga therapy and wisdom

training.  She received her 200 hour certification

through Prajna Yoga in Santa Fe NM.

Anna is a committed student of Tias Little with

whom she studies therapeutic yoga with a focus

on anatomy and physiology, yogic wisdom and Zen

meditation. She has also studied yoga for women’s

health with Surya Little and Linda Spackman and is

certified in pre and post natal yoga.  In addition to

teaching yoga she is a licensed massage therapist

in the state of Texas.  Her education in anatomy

and myofascial release, most specifically Anatomy Trains with Tom Meyers, have greatly impacted her knowledge and practice as a yoga teacher.

With a focus on proper alignment and the use of props Anna hopes to guide students towards a more open and peaceful place in their bodies and mind.  Her classes are inspired by her daily journey through the rhythms of life and living in the human body.  A typical class will include meditation, pranayama (breath work), and therapeutic asanas (postures) with the goal of becoming more mindful, grounded and aware of the inner workings of the body.

Anna also has a passion for travel and has traveled all over the world. She is excited for her new adventure as a Wellness Leader in the Osa Peninsula, Costa Rica. In addition to Yoga, she will be offering Thai massage and meditation classes, as well as nutritional tips and advice.

More interesting facts: Anna also has a passion for art and she designs amazing jewelry inspired by her love for bees. Check out her creations here: www.beeamour.com
